About Fright
Fright is a horror literary journal
Fright is dedicated to exploring the full spectrum of horror, from spine-chilling scares to the deeply human experiences behind them. We welcome short horror works across all subgenres, spotlighting the diverse voices and stories that define the genre.
Our mission is to celebrate horror writers, nurture their craft, and cultivate a thriving community that empowers the next generation of creators. As we strive for 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status as an independent, non-profit literary journal, we remain committed to cultivating creativity, connection, and a shared love for all things terrifying.
Staff
Founder and Editor in Chief
Edgar founded Fright to make it the horror literary journal. He oversees everything from publishing, executive administration, to managing the tech that runs this site. He is also the Editor for Notice to All, a newsletter on U.S. immigration law and was a first reader for Fordham University's literary magazine, The Ampersand. Previously a Software Engineer at Google, he now submits to publications, develops games, and writes software for the healthcare and legal sect. A writer at heart, he has been crafting poetry and short stories privately for nearly two decades.
